Silo Bleu is a good option, if you can get a spot there, take it. There's a Migrolino near the gas station on the ground floor and a Migros and Denner just minutes away. It's a 5-minute walk to Renens station and 20 minutes to campus, with a gym and rooftop on site. Laundry rooms every three floors are a nice plus. The main drawbacks are the very high price relative to the small surface area, and depending on which side of the building you're on, you can't open the windows if you're facing the railway. Also, when you leave Silo Bleu, they'll always find something to charge you for. I had to pay 500+ CHF to repaint two walls over minor marks.
Very good location, and amenities. Situated next to the Renens train station, the Silo is relatively close to campus and groceries. The gym is very nice and convenient and the view is unbeatable (if you are on the right side). The negative point is that they were very strict on dirtiness and made me pay when I left even though the room was clean which felt like they were taking advantage of me.

Silo Bleu is a good student residence. The studios are well-designed and offer plenty of storage space for your belongings. It also provides several shared facilities, including kitchens on the first and top floors, study rooms, and a small gym.
Supermarkets such as Migros, Lidl, and Denner are just a 3-minute walk away, which is very convenient. The residence is also only 10 minutes from the train station.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks: the rent is slightly more expensive compared to other student residences in the area. Additionally, if you live on the lower floors, you may occasionally hear trains passing by, as the building is located close to the railway tracks.

My ceiling isn't painted so it looks bad, but excluding that minor issue everything it fine. Your have a small gym in the building, study rooms and aren't located that far from the train station. There is also a pharmacy and a migrolino that closes at 22h at the foot of the building which is very convenient.

The studio was awesom. It was modern and in perfect condition. A very good add on is the location of the building, 15 min from EPFL, 1 minutes from Migros, Denner and Lidle.
